Released during the pandemic, Quarantine Swing is a musical collaboration spanning Europe, Africa and the United States. Blending N8N originals with covers ranging from Barry White to Jett Rebel, the album brings a soulful swing to an extraordinary time. The single ‘Get That Girl’ was produced by Erik Rico in the US, mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer Scott Jacoby, whose credits include Alicia Keys, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Jason Mraz and José James, and mastered by Graham Ward in South Africa.

In 2016, N8N took the stage as Seal’s opening act at Brussels’ legendary Cirque Royal, premiering songs from his forthcoming album. This live recording captures the energy of that special night, with N8N and his band at their electrifying best raw, soulful and full of funk.
Second To None EP

For his fourth official release, N8N headed to Los Angeles to record with Grammy Award-winning producer Andre Harris. The project brought together an impressive lineup of co-writers, including Ariana Grande collaborator Carmen Reece and songwriting and production trio J.F.K., whose credits include Alicia Keys and Beyoncé. The first single pays tribute to Cape Town—the Mother City and Nathan’s second home.

At the heart of the project is his creative partnership with producer and multi-instrumentalist Erik Rico. More than 15 years of exchanging ideas, writing originals and reworking songs have built a shared language of raw soul and vintage grooves. With recording and mixing by Graham Ward in Cape Town, Part 2 brings that spirit into a collection made to feel as good onstage as it does on record. drawing on the spirit of Billy Preston and the contemporary gospel soul of PJ Morton. Longtime live favourite “Losing Control” returns in a stripped-back funk version, while “Complicated Girl” takes on its third incarnation with an Otis Redding-inspired treatment. “Satisfaction Guaranteed” gets its funkiest outing yet, revisiting a groove whose original live video featured Jamal Thomas on drums.

For the Better Call Soul EP, N8N teamed up with Austin, Texas-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Erik Rico, who co-wrote and produced the EP’s five original tracks. Drawing inspiration from ’70s, ’80s and ’90s R&B, the record pairs soulful melodies with infectious grooves. Singles “Complicated Girl” and “Dance” quickly became live favourites, while “Poor Lil’ Rich Kids” brings a club-ready edge, winning over DJs and dance floors with its Timbaland-inspired production.
Who Is He ?

Released by EMI in 2010, N8N’s debut album Who Is He? (What’s My Name?) introduced his blend of soul, funk and blues, led by the singles “Lost Soul” and “Baby Blue.” Co-written by N8N and Jan Willems and produced by Daniel Romeo, the album features special guest Amp Fiddler on “Relax & Watch Me Work” and the title track. From the soulful opening song “On & On” to an unexpected interpretation of “Calling You” from Bagdad Cafe, the record reveals the range of N8N’s musical influences while establishing a voice of his own. Warmly received by the Belgian media, the album earned four out of five stars from leading newspaper De Morgen.
The Blunk Sessions EP

Luke Walter Jr.’s voice left a lasting mark on N8N, long before he found his own. A close family friend, the Blue Blot frontman was part of Nathan’s world growing up. Nathan also visited him in New York before his passing.
Luke’s influence shaped N8N’s early approach to singing, inspiring him to explore a deeper, lower register before gradually discovering the higher, more distinctive voice heard on his later recordings. That early connection to Luke’s soulful delivery and love of blues and funk remained a source of inspiration throughout his career. Released under the name BLUNK!, this limited-edition, CD-only EP brought N8N together with several original members of Blue Blot for a heartfelt tribute to the singer who had meant so much to him, both personally and musically. In 2005, the band opened for B.B. King on his final Belgian tour and for Sly & The Family Stone at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Ghent. BLUNK! also appeared at Lokerse Feesten, sharing the bill with Jamie Lidell, Jamiroquai and many more, carrying Luke’s spirit and groove onto a new generation of stages.
